Well, my brother just got a 2008 Lincoln Navigator fully loaded rental for the weekend and I always hated them but seeing it in person up close, they aren't so bad. As soon as I got in, I was in love with the interior. For some reason I have always liked the Navigator's interior over the Escalades'. I haven't riden in the 3G Escalades but how are they? The Navigator as nice features such as power tailgate(now avail on escalade), power folding 3rd row seating, power 3rd row windows, built in Sirius satellite radio and some other unique things. HOWEVER, We hauled our 20ft flat deck trailer on the highway today, and oh man, wish I had the Escalade! I had the pedal to the floor, and I was barely pushing a little over 120km/h with the trailer. The Escalade could do 120km with the trailer and still have passing power no questions asked. I know the Escalade is 6.0L V8 and this is only a 5.4L Triton but come on! What do you guys think? It might be a near future vehicle (within next year), it should be quite powerful with the K&N, Exhaust & Superchip. My cousin has a Mark LT with chip, intake and exhaust and it hauls ass.
I was planning on switching to Navigator's in the fall when they said thier new 6.2 engine would be out in 09', the Escalade engine is so much better and so much more powerful, I know I tow a 26 ft 7k lb trailer in the mountains. The Navigator is much cheaper in price than an Escalade, about 8k cheaper. The folding 3rd row makes no difference to me, I like the fact that the Escalade seats can be taken out, it's a good excuse to haul less people.

I had an 03 Gator and I tell you those fold flat rear seats are real nice. 2nd and third row, it's so much easier to do on the fly then to have to take them out.

I take my 3rd row out the day I bring the truck home and out them back in the day I sell it
I have been thinking of leasing one myself but haven't made up my mind between the escalade ext and the H2 Sut. I like both of them, I just can't decide
Honestly I have always preferred the Navigator's interior to the Escalade's. I just can't get over how unattractive the Navigator's new front fascia is. And you got it right, Ford's V8 leaves you wanting for power.

Agree completely. There are a lot of small things I wish the Escalade had (ought to have) but the Navigator has a face not even a mother could love. Sorry Carl.
