Yes, I got my lockpick from Mark (http://www.lockpicksolutions.com), installed myself, it works like a CHAMP. Highly, recommended. Love able to override DVD, destination input, edit, onstar, XM, and able to view rear view camera while in motion.

I'm curious. Can you do this all without a lock picking kit? Could the head unit be altered so that it can do all that stuff without having to push window buttons and all that other stuff to unlock it.
One of my friends got an after-market Pioneer touch-screen head unit. At first he couldn't enter address while driving, watch DVD's while driving, or do any of that type of stuff, and he just unscrewed it, opened it up, re-soldered some things together. Afterwards, did everything without a problem. Unfortunately for me he has moved pretty far away. I'm wondering if the same thing or similar thing can be done with the Escalade's stock head unit from a custom car shop that's good with that kind of stuff?
Not sure it's a good idea to pull apart a very expensive head unit and 'solder a few wires together'...
GM uses a LAN network for these new trucks; it's definitely not as simple as grounding a parking brake wire like with the pioneer D3 your friend bought.
