So I finally ordered some Lexani 26" wheels for my 07 ESV today. Here's a picture of them - I think they'll look clean on a black truck. What do you think?
The easy part was picking out the wheel I wanted and the hard part was picking the tire! I knew that I wanted 305/30/26, but what brand was the question.
In the end I went with the Hankooks.
What does everyone else have and are you pleased with them?
What 26" tires are considered to be the best?

Reason: picture
I got the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico 305/30ZR26. I'm pleased with them so far. My dad has a Lamborghini Gallardo which came with Pirellis. If it's good enough at 205 mph, good enough for me. Sure you'll feel the road more, and you'll have to pay more attention that you don't hit a huge pothole doing 70 on the highway, but I've driven vehicles with a worse ride. I had a truck that was bagged and that was 10x worse.
Worse case scenerio I'd rather piss off the guy behind me by slowing down and going around potholes than having to deal with bent rims.
Yea I had a customer borrow a set of my winter wheels and tires because he destroyed 3 out of 4 wheels on an area of road that was ground down and waiting for repaving, of course his wheels were not forged.

Not running 26's anymore because I sold them because our roads are just too bad, but my 26's and 24's were/are Pirelli Scorpion Zero's, you can get cheaper tires, but not sure you can get much better, these work very well
Over the years, I have had and tried all of the different tires that are out there for 26s. I highly recommend the Kumhos. They have held up the longest.... worn the best, have a good looking tread, and are usually well priced.
The pirellis are soft and typically wear much faster, also I personally think the tread on the pirelli tires looks like something from a 40.00 walmart tire.
They are both 420 tread wear rated, had a set of Kumho's in 22", two of the tires started to seperate, replaced them with Nitto's, they did not last too long for me.

I agree! I've always thought the same about the walmart tread!
The yellow scorpion on the sidewall of the Pirellis looks cool and the Kumho's have a better tread and price. I'd go with either. Those would be my top two choices. I had Kumho's on 22's and they were great. Now I have Toyos on 24's. Toyos are great tires too.
Ok - I switched from the Hankook to the Pirelli. I've heard that the Pirellis are softer and therefore give you a better ride. Plus the yellow scorpion is cool looking.
