Nav Disc Upgrade

Hey everyone,

This was done on another forum; and I though I'd give it a shot here, since we could all save a few bucks.

I believe you can burn a copy of the NAV disc and it will work just fine. I have a Oct. 06 built Escalade, so my disc is getting quite old. I think you all know where i'm going with this.

Does anyone with an '08 want to burn copies of thier disc and send them out to members of the forum? I would pay a fee plus shipping and paypal fees for the newest disc.

What do you guys think?

BTW - I know we are supposed to get 1 free disc upgrade but i'm thinking about people that already used it up or people like me whom bought thier rides second hand.

Aren't they free for new owners? Or at least the first update disc?

Is that the case? I leased mine for the company in Nov of 06. I still have the old disc that I notice doesnt have a lot of the roads I travel on.

My 07 is also a lease from 06 and they were late sending my 1st free Nav disc.
I called them and they sent it right out to me.

Seems they're not quite on top of things and a few guys found after putting in their VIN # it was for a different vehicle.
One of the reasons they were not getting the Notice or disc.

I have the ability to copy DVD's.

I make copies of DVDs for my personal use.

I don't have an updated Nav disk, let me know if you locate one and I can hook us both up, because I'm not thrilled about paying $150 for an updated disk.

It is a DOUBLE LAYER DVD...
if that makes any difference to your burner.

One of my discs came right on the one year date, the other one was 4 months late, contact them.

I've already updated my info and nothing ever showed up. I'll try to call them but like i said if anyone wants to burn a copy of the newest DVD i'll pay a fee for it.

I don't mind buying it if we can get enough guys. I'll buy it and make copies and just split the cost equally between everyone that wants one. So for eg. if it costs $150, and 10 people want one, then we would pay $15 each plus cost of DVD and shipping.
