McGaughy's POOR customer service

Called McGaughy's about a question. Didn't like the customer service I received! Just wanted to share as I will not buy from a company who doesn't treat their customers right!

Re: McGaughy's POOR customer service

Thats strange, I had a 2005 Yukon Denali that was lowered using their kit. Came time to sell it and my shop could not locate my old kit to bring the Denali back to factory specs. Call them to see if they had any old spindles and springs lying around that I could buy. The guy on the other end told me that they have so much old stuff lying around the shop that I could have 2 spindles and 2 springs for free just pay for shipping/handling. Thats tops in my book, considering what the dealer charges for these parts. Havent gotten around to lowering my EXT yet but when I do you can bet I'll be calling McGaughys. Just my two cents.

Re: McGaughy's POOR customer service

I needed some bolts for a kit I bought from another member here and they were more than pleased to send them free of charge. By the way it was a nice lady who i spoke with. As far as I'm concerned they have great service. Sorry about your experience.

Re: McGaughy's POOR customer service

Sometimes you having one bad (or just not stellar) experience with one person is not indicative of the whole company, something that goes for all of them.

Overall, I've still heard more good of this company than otherwise.

True, however, you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.... I admit, I did call early in the morning on a Friday, maybe the *person* wasn't in the greatest mood/tired, etc.; however, there is no excuse to not being friendly.

Maybe I'm just picky. I own a few businesses and look at customer service as a top priority. I know how a customer should be treated and I wasn't treated that way. I just wanted to voice my opinion. I'm sure the company does an exceptional job and this was a fluke; however, that employee represents their company as a whole, and needs to realize that if they will be speaking to customers... Lost my business is all.
