Air filter may be suspect as mentioned above. Are you using the same brand of gas ? Sometimes they change formula's due to the season.

Some states are making Ethanol Blend manditory, maybe your station has switched? A 10% blend will make you lose about 1-2 mpg.

Don't feel bad. My mileage has been sitting on 12.2 for a couple months now. Of course that's all local driving, sometimes in heavy traffic. A long freeway trip may push it up to 19-20.

I am going to try filling up somewhere else and see what happens. I checked the gauge for the air filter and it wasn't even close to red. It barely registered. Should I go by the gauge? Or could it still be dirty regardless of what the gauge says?

Re: 2007 Drop In Gas Mileage

A dirty air filter won't result in a noticeable drop in gas mileage. The ECU sets the air-fuel ratio. If the filter is letting less air in then the ECU reduces the amount of fuel to compensate. A dirty air filter will reduce the top end power available, not the mixture or efficiency.

When air used to go through a carburetor a clogged air filter would mess up the air fuel ratio and therefor the gas efficiency but not with a modern electronically controlled engine.
