Re: 2009 Escalade Changes:

The order guide just changed saying that the engine is a Non-AFM Engine. The Hybrid is still a 6.0 AFM Engine though.

Can you provide a link to the 2009 ordering guide?

GM confirmed that the new L9H 6.2L engine will have AFM.

Re: 2009 Escalade Changes:

mczurales,

It has been confirmed that the 2009 Escalade L9H engine WILL HAVE Active Fuel Management in addition to the E85 capability.

Here is a link that lists it under official Cadillac changes:

http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums...hp?t23499.html

Also, I just confirmed this with Scott Pratt at Superior Cadillac. He seems to have all the good insider info.

Hope this helps!

According to GM, that listing hasn't been updated to reflect the L9H's AFM feature. GM stated that when the update is completed, the L9H will be listed with AFM.

Hope this helps!

Usually, GM ends production of the current year at the end of June and the new production year begins either the first week of July or Mid-July. It depends on how fast they re-tool the factory for the new model year.

I am sure we will start seeing 2009 Escalades at the end of July or the beginning of August.

Re: 2009 Escalade Changes:

AWD Escalade GVWR changes from 7100 lbs. to 7300 lbs.

2WD Escalade GVWR changes from 7000 lbs. to 7100 lbs.

RGAWR changes from 4100 lbs. to 4200 lbs.

So did the AWD system get upgraded? I see it gained an extra 100 lbs. I know both models gained extra weight from all the extra add ons...but the extra hundred must be mechanical? because if the hybrid models have now been added then their should be 2 separate weights for 2WD & 2 for AWD. Am I right? Im curious how much the hybrid system adds...

Re: 2009 Escalade Changes:

I'm glad to see that GM is offering AFM in the lade and automatic windows...and my favorite standard navigation system. Infiniti has enjoyed success with offering a standard navi....I'm glad GM decided to join the party.
