Get video OUTPUT from factory NAV unit

I am considering doing some rear headrests in my escalade.... but i really don't see the point unless there is a way to mirror what is on the front nav unit back to the rear headrests.

I have always thought this was a cool feature that the aftermarket companies (alpine, pioneer, etc) have done.... I have yet to see an interface that will do this for a factory unit... but maybe there is finally one available.

If it is possible to interrupt the factory input and display your own info on the front screen, it shouldn't be that difficult to get the output from the factory nav and feed it to other monitors in the vehicle.

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.

Thanks!

This should help you. I've done the same thing with my escalade:

I have the rear seat entertainment package but I am going to install headrest monitors. I was wondering what size and brand monitors you have in yours? Thanks

What about if you already have the middle screen and want to add another?

i'm not sure of the size of the screens; if i were to guess i'd say they are 6.5"?

Has anyone used one of these in conjunction with a super lockpick? Does it work? Thanks!
