Has anyone recently bought a used '07 Escalade?

Remove this ad
Hey everyone I am new to the board but have been lurking recently. I am very interested in buying a used '07 Escalade as soon as I sell my Titan and I have a quick question. Are the dealer's budging at all on their asking prices? I would imagine that you could get maybe one to two thousand, maybe three thousand, off what they are asking. Does anyone have any feedback?

Also I am about 95% certain that the Titan and the GM products have the same bolt patterns. Can anyone back this up?

Thanks!!
-Royce

Re: Has anyone recently bought a used '07 Escalade?

Here In Kansas City used 07 Escalades are 47K-55K depending on options and miles. I bought a new 08 Escalade EXT about 6 weeks ago, sticker was about 64,500 and I bought it for about 59,000.

I had a Titan, but I dont know if the wheel pattern is the same. Hope the info helps you and good luck!

The only problem that I am having with a new one is the immediate depreciation. I can get into an Escalade here in Texas for anywhere from $38,800 and up with low mileage, obviously depending on options. I just don't see the point in taking a $15,000-$20,000 hit. Just my opinion everyone, I don't want to offend.

Watch out for recycled lemons and wind noise rejects.

I have seen a lot on these forums about wind noise but have not looked too deep into it. Are the '07's having a lot of wind noise problems? Is there a certain speed that I should be sure and drive at when I do a test drive?

Is it happening on all or just some of the '07's? Is there a factory fix for the noise?

Re: Has anyone recently bought a used '07 Escalade?

Just some of them. You've got to test drive for it. There are some factory fixes. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Read up on it all in this forum. Then go shopping knowing what you're looking for and what you're looking to avoid.

Re: Has anyone recently bought a used '07 Escalade?

Why can't one ask for a Carfax report? This way you should be able to avoid the two afore mentioned issues, right?

Re: Has anyone recently bought a used '07 Escalade?

Carfax is a tool that will help in buying, but do not count on them being 100% correct, many things like warranty work will never show up, you can have a GM dealer look into the history thru their network

I have seen them for 35k, and for 50k, I was offered 48k for mine, it's almost a year and a half old, low miles, it was 67k new and paid under 60k for it new.

No. I like mine so much I would buy it out of the lease if GM would give me that deal, and mine is not as loaded as yours. No NAV, no 22s, no power boards (just cooled seats/roof/ and chrome 18s). They want 49K to buy it out now (only 10 months into my 39 month lease). They want 36K for it at the end of the lease. Though I know it will be over market priced then, I may still buy it as i know its history and it will be spotless with low miles. So, no, you did not get jipped.
