2007 EXT Storage Compartment

I noticed the hardware on the exterior storage compartments both sides are already starting to corrode. Anybody else having the same issue and is there a fix? Thanks

Yeah, I noticed it on my 02 Avalanche, 04 EXT and now my 07 EXT.
The hinges are just not painted well enough ( paint is very, very thin ) and since it's just a hinge, the metal is the cheapest grade available.
I'm sure the Dealer would replace them no problem but they'd just start rusting again in a short time.
I just remove the hinges and sand or glass bead them.
Then give 'em a good coat or two of spray paint like Rustoleum.
