Hmmmmm I guess since I bought mine as a divorce gift to myself I'd have to say my heavily medicated ex wife is what I replaced. And I must add it looks way better, is much much quieter and a way way way better ride!

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

My '08 ESV replaced an '06 ESV Platinum (which replaced an '04 ESV Platinum). Wasn't in the market but was impossible to resist when dealer called and offered more than $26K off the new ESV.

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

Don't laugh at me LOL, I had a sweet a** 1997 Toyota Corolla SD that I had since I was in college. That beast last it for a long time it still ran really good it just had some rusty fuel and brake lines I didn’t want to fix so I donated it.

My original purchase was going to be a black 2007 or 2008 Lexus IS 250 or 350

My other option was a black 2008 BMW 328i Sedan

Never had an SUV in mind until I had an opportunity borrow an Escalade for a week and completely fell in love with it. I’m very happy with my purchase it will be the only white vehicle I will ever own [Love the White Diamond Tricoat paint ]

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

Haven't read through em all yet but mine is pretty good, (except the wife replacement one...that was funny) My 07 EXT replaced a 96 sunfire coupe. The ultimate beater car. Paid $100 bucks for that car and used it for 2 years. I love my EXT (almost 4 times the power...lol) and its definatley awesome goin from pretty much the lowest of the low to the most loaded pickup you can get.

Some times I miss the 5 spd in that old sunfire, but then I just mash the throttle and listen to that 6.2L roar...

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

My white 07 Ext replaced a 99 Acura Integra which was my first car ever. Dad decided he needed a truck that he could really dog and felt kind of bad roughing the Escalade so I convinced him to let me have it .

It was a huge upgrade. The integra was in excellent condition since I got it with 20k miles (it was at 110k when I got rid of it) and it was pretty much my first baby. Now I treat the Escalade even better . I do sometimes miss the Honda 5spd manual since it was a fun sporty car to drive but would much rather have the Escalade's brawn and safety now that I have a child.

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

My '08 EXT replaced my 07 avalanche ltz. I had both an 02 and 04 denali and thought the avalanche made those trucks obsolete but this new escalade is even more amazing than the lanche

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

'04 Ford Excursion with a BUILT 6.0 diesel...600+ RWHP/850+ RW Torque. The only thing I miss compared to my ESV is the power; pushing 13.5 in the 1/4 mile with a 4+ ton SUV was almost as priceless as the look on people's faces when they saw it...

Re: What did your Escalade replace?

My Escalade replaced my 04 Navigator. I liked the Navigator but the new body Escalades looked better than the new body Navigator.
