GM has been very difficult/impossible to negotiate down on the buyout price regardless of actual market value at lease end.
| I've noticed this with several manufactures and I have never understood it.
Dif, by Dec 09 there will be deals this good or better, IMO. Just weigh your options and, if you can help it, don't be in a hurry to purchase. |

2. Amen. | I hear you, my buyout is also at 36K , and yes, whether they will deal on a lower price or demand the full buyout price will be the deciding factor.
Also depends on a good price for a new Lease or not.
Without a good price on a new Lease and a demand to pay full buyout price, then buying used might be the way to go if they are 30K or less by the end of 09.
Just thinking ahead and dreaming
Also I'll have a little over $3,000.00 on my GM card towards a new one and that will help towards a lower new Lease price per month.
Who knows, ...
with a year and a half to go, only time will tell what things will be like by then |

I don't mind waiting to decide but my only rush would be because I'd have to do something regardless when the Lease is up.
As I mentioned in my other post:

My wife replaced her 04 Escalade with an 07 Mustang GT vert in triple black. At that time I started going through Escalade withdrawls, so I traded my 07 Avalanche in on an 07 EXT. There are a few other reasons, like I hated trying to keep the black AV clean, plus I hated how dirty the light gray interior always was. It is much easier to keep a Gold Mist exterior with ebony interior clean. I didn't have a backup camera on the AV, so when I backed into the attic ladder in the garage I was kind of POed. Then what really topped the cake was when my wifes sister told her that she is always flaunting what we have, so I thought me buying another new truck would really tick her off, and, it did. Maybe I am a jerk, but I really don't need someone telling me how I need to be more frugal. I told her that being frugal is also dependant on ones income, maybe I am frugal. |

My 07 Lade replaced my 07 Silverado LTZ....I purchased the truck a year and a half ago and 6 months later sold my 02 Yukon Denali for an 07 STS...two months later we found out we were having a baby. After a few months of trying to get everything to fit in the truck I decided to sell it and go with the Lade...We have 6 GM vehicles in the family...an 06 Tahoe LTZ, 07 Tahoe LTZ, 08 Silverado LTZ, 07 Yukon Denali, 07 STS and the 07 Escalde...the Lade is by far the best of the bunch and gets the best fuel mileage..(short of the STS). I have absolutly no thoughts of getting rid of this vehicle any time soon. |

My 2009 Lade replaced 04 GTO 6spd & 99 Vette Convertible 6spd - miss them both..but time to move on..lovely cars (And I will have a sports car again) but the lade truly makes you feel like king on the road! After almost a month and a 1000 miles I absolutely love it......I hope this honeymoon lasts forever!!! Also 16-17 city is not bad considering i got 17-18 in my gto and 18-19 in my vette...

Even though the Expy had cooled seats(mandatory in Florida) the leather sucked and wore poorly. It had a nav, but it was CD based rather than DVD based like the Escalade. XM radio and tons more power made the choice easy. Still in the honeymoon phase with 3200 miles but so far it seems like a good move. |
