The proper long tubes will give you the most hp 15-30, and the best low end torque on the dyno.

Also, will long tubes increase cabin volume? I have a cat back now and the sound is great at highway speeds. I am just concerned that headers will make the sund level uncomfortable on long rides. |

Any exhaust mod will add some noise, it's what happens when you increase power, having said that it sould not be much louder |

Can we get that type of gain with shorties?: |

Shorties might make 5 on a good day, no way will they make 21. D3 probably forgot to mention they got the 21 after the shorty install AND a very aggressive tune(ie. lean) on a cold day. |

Do you know if any one is making long tubes for the 6.2? |

Mr. Chevy did a pretty good with the factory exhaust so unless you make a big change(long tubes and high flow cats) you won't see much of a gain. I have no experience modding the ls3 in the Escalade but having looked at the exhaust manifolds on my 07, I see the same basic design as the Corvette and would expect similar results. Now for the hard part, finding someone making long tubes for an Escalade. There are several good header manufacturers of long tubes for the c5/c6 (Kooks, Stainless Works, LG to name a few). I know Stainless Works and Kooks both make headers for trucks so they might have something for the Escalade. Good luck in your search. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
