Top Speed of 2008 Escalade

I just purchased my 2008 Black Escalade on 22's! I absolutely love it!

I did notice however, while on the interstate, that it would not exceed 107 mph. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has heard of it occurring before.

Normal operation - a Predator programmer can be used to raise the top speed..

Electrically limited to 106, if you get your computer reprogrammed or get a hand held unit like the Preditor you can remove that, ask us how we know.

Buy a DIABLO PREDITOR when they are available for 08. Try autoanything.com or a vendor on this site such as automotiveconcepts. Both great places, but my experience is that sometimes one is cheaper than the other. Not saying which ...and I also think both price match - look for a price around 300 including shipping.

Does anyone going 100 MPH or more have Hotchkis Sway Bars installed?
I rarely go over 80 MPH.

I hit 100 MPH once "before" I put some Hotchkis Sway Bars on ... and never drove over 80 after that,..
until I put them on.

No sway bars, but mine is pretty stable on the highway through 100 MPH. I am not a speed demon and I don't usually ever drive over 80 anyway - especially in a 5900+ pound vehicle. It is rock solid through at 80 and I don't tow. Is there any advantage to the sway bars at my speeds?

The sway bars make the truck more stable at all speeds.

I've driven various times over 100mph w/o sway bars. My ESV is in the shop getting extensive work done to it. Sway bars is on that list. To me it wasn't that bad going 100 and more. That was all done with 26 inch spinners and lowered 2.5 inches front n rear.In my shorty Escalade i've gone 100 or more as well. That is stock height n stock 22s. There it is a more shaky.

Bigger wheels and lowering do help.
But just a word of Caution to anyone thinking the vehicle is stable without the sway bars when traveling 85 - 100 MPH and over.

As I mentioned before I had mine up to 100 MPH "once" and I thought the same thing .. wow nice and stable,... Until I had to change lanes.

And I'm not talking like road racing, weaving in and out abruptly.
Just cruising along with plenty of room and needed to change lanes as I was coming up on a car in front of me.

There was a Lot of Mushy Response and a Lot of Sway.

Even with the Sway bars on, being a 3 Ton vehicle,.. it's still not like a race car, but it's Definitely a Lot better.

I could take it up to 125 mph . In fact, I felt it could go faster but backed off .I think driving a suv at those speeds are scary lol .

Lets face it...3 tons and about as aerodynamic as a brick doesnt mix to well with a high top end. Sure the engine has the grunt but I am not taking any chances. I had mine up to about 90 ( with factory 18's)and it felt pretty solid on 95 south heading to Myrtle Beach for a second. Truck tracked pretty straight and felt damn good. Of course another 10-15mph makes a big difference. I just love the trucks mid-range on the highway.

I think going over a 100 mph in an Escalade with stock brakes and suspension is a horrible idea under MOST circumstances.

With a chip they can do around 130-140...sketch.

man i put mine on cruise at 100 and just chill and change lanes when i need to never really thought anything bad was going to happen felt pretty stable
