HID/Xenon Fog Lights

All...I'm looking for a "direct fit" HID/Xenon kit that will fit in the fog lamps and be the exact color bulb as the factory Xenons. Any ideas where i can get it?

Thanks in advance!

Re: HID/Xenon Fog Lights

I have 6000k fogs in mine and i get angry people flashing me all the time because they get blinded by the lights for a second. Feel kind of bad sometimes. I'm worried i'm going to get pulled over for having excessive fogs.

I had my shop put them in. Originally they were supposed to be 9005's i think but they had some trouble fitting the originals so they had to get different ones. Not sure if thats was was finally installed. 6000k is not a direct match to the headlights. I think 4300k is exact or close to it.

I will try to look at my lights to determine what they are.

Very nice...I knew that someone had to have done it. How is the light output of 4 xenons? If you dont mind...let me know what bulb type, brand of Xenon kit, and if it was a direct. I would rather not have to cut the housing and such.

Thanks in advance for your help

Re: HID/Xenon Fog Lights

Here are the pics i just took. Its a little foggy up here so pics aren't too good. I tried to get a good example of the light output but doesn't come out right when the image is shrunk to upload to the site. As you can see in the pics the colors are off from fog to headlights but i don't mind.

Its scary how much brighter it is with fogs on. I sometimes will not even turn on my brights on the back roads up here. The only thing that benefits me with the brights is that it points a little bit further down the road.

The shop that installed the fogs did not cut\mod the housing to have it fit. I will see if i can look at the brand and type of bulb this weekend.

Enjoy,
Nick

Mark...thanks for the info and link. Few questions:

1. What color bulb will I need to match the factory Caddy Xenons?
2. Will the harness on your kit be "plud-n-play' with the Caddy factory fog light plugs?
3. With your kit...is there a need to run a seperate wire harness straight to the battery to keep it from flickering?
4. How do I get in on the group buy and how do I purchase (credit card, paypal)?

Thanks in advance.

Re: HID/Xenon Fog Lights

All cars including Caddy's included use 4300k bulb color/temp for their HID's, my HID fogs are 5000k, slightly blue but looks good with the headlights

Re: HID/Xenon Fog Lights

The correct bulb is 9145 (H10) , the 9005 will work with a little mod.

Just like hcvone said, 9005 will fit with minor adjustments, but H10 is the direct fit and I would get that considering all good vendors (like myself) have H10 and every other fitment.

Thanks!
