Number of times I want to leave something in my vehicle for a few weeks and not worry about kids getting into it, valet parkers, etc.
Maybe someone had already looked and sees a blank storage space under the center console, in the driver door, behind the dash, under the seat? |

The "spare" battery tray located at the left front corner of the engine compartment presents many possibilities if engine heat is not an issue. Any type of small locking box could be bolted to this tray, and it could also be insulated if necessary.
Have you checked to see if there is any space available under the center console cupholders? |

ALREADY ON IT! ;-)) I have sent pics to the moderator to post up the spare battery tray storage solution...using a pelican case. Hopefully he will post upon his return from his trip. I think you will find it useful and heat issues are not applicable...unless storing a weapon ;-)

In some jurisdictions, having a hidden compartment will get you silver bracelets and a ride to the crowbar hotel even if the compartment is empty. It can spoil the moment when you and your date are spread eagled on the concrete.

LOL...actually you are right, BUT, it has to be REALLY concealed (like underneath the floor panels, false compartment with switches to open the compartment, etc) and you must have a "nexus" in the narcotics trade the ride to the "pokey'....
