24s or 26s for '07 EXT??

Remove this ad
I'm in the market for a set of rims for my Black '07 EXT. Do 26s really require a bigger brake kit, or is that just a rumor? 24s just dont seem to look big enough, even with a 2/3 drop...what do you guys think??

It depends on where and how you live and drive if you will need bigger brakes, if your not towing or in the mountains you maybe fine with 26's and stock brakes, but if you live and drive in the mountains then you may need bigger brakes with 22's.

Re: 24s or 26s for '07 EXT??

I would go with the 26's. Ride quality will be the same weather you go 24's or 26's. I think 26's looks better on the EXT since its a little bigger. There putting 24's on cars now, so 26's are the way to go. But thats just my opinion.

Re: 24s or 26s for '07 EXT??

So let me get this straight...It's not a good idea to pull a trailer on 26's? What is the logic behind it? Like, what is something that might happen if you do?

Re: 24s or 26s for '07 EXT??

Everyone has their own preference and taste on wheels.

Just go with what you feel you like...

Me, I love the look of 26s, but I went with 24s, due to the way it looks, it flows well on my '04 EXT.

With 24s on and a 2/3" drop, the truck is at the perfect height where I like it.

I've seen 26s on with a 2/3" drop on a truck locally and it doesnt sit as low as mine for some reason.

Sometimes with my 24s, I do feel it looks small, but sometimes if I look at 26s on some trucks around, it looks too big?!?

Either way, I think you'll be happy with 24s or 26s. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.
