The 800 number in the owners manual, I will post it once I get in my truck. That is the number I used to start to process, having a supporting dealer on your side also helps big time

As hcvone said, it helps to have a dealer backing you. Also, many don't wish to look at it this way after you spend so much money for a vehicle, but you really do attract more Cadillac bees with honey than vinegar. If you're like me, you're tempted to light into them but be very polite (but firm) and never threaten legal action (they can make life with your vehicle very difficult if you become challenging, unless you want to retain an attorney.) I've always found them to be very responsive to the polite "I love the vehicle, but have xyz concerns" approach.
Good luck - I know you've had a bit of a rough (and cold!) road, but they will take care of you. |

As said be nice, believe me the person on the other end you want as your friend, I talked to several people when I was going thru my problem, and they along with my dealer made the process go very smooth. As said let us know how you make out. |

i called them up.. spoke to a nice guy over there.. didn't ask for anything or really complain about anything.. just simply stated that we have had some major technical issues and i wanted to know the status of those issues and whether it was a fluke, on the early release models, etc... the guy pulled up our file, put me on hold for a bit while he called the dealer, and then came back and explained some stuff to me... basically said that the 2 problems - nav and heating console appear to be unrelated and seem to be just bad systems that were unluckily on our truck... then - he offered us the 'smartcare' package - basically 2 hrs. worth of oil changes, tire rotations, lubrications, filters - all free of charge - for our trouble...
i was very grateful and told him we are loyal customers and we really appreciate it... he said they are going to check our truck out every time we bring it in for regular mainenance and make sure everything is perfect...
by the way, the truck is running great... opened her up on the highway a bit and the engine sounds terrific.. heating console working perfectly.. and the nav is working great as well.. have you seen the new nav disc???? they gave us a new disc and the screen has all these new colors.. i am assuming the new features (details about exits, etc) is caused by the updated nac disc that we now have... anyway, everything is running great..
thanks again.... |

Have you driven it at night? The nav screen/colors will look different at night - maybe it's just coincidence? Could you possibly grab the part number off the nav disc you just got? I'm curious.
