What brand brake pads and rotors would you suggest I use for my 2002 Escalade?

Re: 2002 Escalade Rotors and Brakes

Not sure if the 02's came with ceramic pads like the 03's did, those pads work very good, last a long time, and do not make dust. The stock rotors are good, also Baer rotors, SSBC rotors are another good choice

Re: 2002 Escalade Rotors and Brakes

Stock rotors are fine but pricey. I use "Quality" from my local chevy dealer. Never a problem.

Use OEM ACDelco pads for least dust, no noise, and no comeback complaints. I've tried them all.

If you're asking this question, then perhaps the brakes aren't being serviced correctly. If the metal pad support backet is corroded on any of the 4 corners, you will have problems. The pads will not apply and release correctly. Properly clearanced brackets will allow you to slide the pads in and out with little or no effort, which means they will work properly. I've yet to find another mechanic who can do this right besides me.

If your not getting 45k miles or better on front pads, fire your mechanic. If your not getting 50k on the rear fire your mechanic.
Or, educate him/her.

The 2002s do have the ceramic pads as well.

I also have the Hawk pads with the Baer Eradispeed +2 14" rotors. Great combo with larger wheels.

Get your rotors turned and the thumping will stop.
