There has been several similar threads, but with no response. I had figured perhaps it was because it has been posted many, many times and one should use the search function as I have. I read the 300+ threads, but none with the answers I was looking for.
I just picked up my 2002 Escalade and it has some problems with the audio system. It has the 11 speaker Bose system. 2 or 3 of the speakers do not work. The previous owner had a sub system connected, but I recently removed for the time being and left the wires under the seats (insulated of course).
I was looking for a couple things.
1. A wiring diagram of the audio system, schematic, whichever.
2. Location of the main amplifier.
If someone can point me the right direction, or links to this info, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

There were several members a few months back asking the same question as I and did not get any reponse. Is there like a secret ban or pack to not offer this kind of information?
If I am out of line, please let me know. Again, forums are generally a great place to learn about things such as this great Cadillac. Just about everything else about the Escalade is being shared here.....
Well, thanks in advance to all of you members! If I am lucky enough to find the information elsewhere, I will be more than happy to share it with the rest of this forum. |

I am just trying to troubleshoot the audio system.
Either a wiring diagram or schematics will do just fine.
So far that I can tell, the front right door speaker is not working. The left rear door is not working. Not quite sure if the center console speakers are working or not.
If I can locate the main amplifier, along with the schematics or diagram, I can troubleshoot the audio and identify if it is really a blown speaker or perhaps a bad amplifier.
And finally, eventually, I am considering an aftermarket system depending on the extent of the repairs.
Thanks in advance! |

I would say that it there was a sub they used a converter splicing into the front speaker wires. Maybe when they disconnect the converter the wires were damaged or they are touching. On the very side( llittle access cover) |

There are two pairs of wires connected to the converter, and I need to find out where it was spliced to.
It would be nice if the wires are just disconnected . |

Thanks again for the diagrams. |
