    Re: tire monitor

my father has the 2004 escalade and there are some sensors on the rims for tire pressure. My 2002 doesnt have that feature. Not sure if this is related to your message or not. he added some 20's to his truck and they had to take those sensors off and put them on his new rims.

Most systems require the original TPMS sensors to stay with the vehicle. Otherwise the system has to be reprogramed for replacement sensors, which would be a dealer operation. GM uses the valve type sensors, which would require the replacement wheels to have the valve stem hole to be very similar to the original in placement & angle. Otherwise the sensor is placed in harm's way when mounting & dismounting tires.
