Buy the escalade, then go buy a POS sports car to beat the hell out of when needed. That's what I did. Wife drives the ESV (hauls my 4 kids), and I daily drive a 87 300zx with 176k on the clock that I picked up for 2g. Oh how I enjoy flogging that car.

sold my m3 and bought a caddy. I do miss the car, but my lac is just more chill. I bought the m3 when I was 16, but now its too small to be my only car. If you can afford both a coupe and an suv do it. I'd rather have 03 lade on 24s and an 03 m3 or 03 cl600 than just a stock 09 for 54 gs. You won't get much for resale value in two years or so on the 09, but 03 isn't going to loose too much more nor will an m3 or cl. the price is already much lower than new on those and won't fall very much more. ie my m3 was 11,5 in 03. I sold it for 7,200 with some mods in dec 08. not bad for 5 years in an m3. And it sold quick. I probably could have gotten a little more for it but that was good enough for a nice down paymet on my black 02 that was 13.5 gs at the dealer with 52k on the clock.

I have an 05 ESV Platinum, on 24s and with all the mulitmedia goodness I could want, and I do love it... but I also have an 06 Infiniti M45 Sport that I like to drive when I need some hustle! It flies for a 4 door sedan, and looks freakin' hot!

For looks though? The Caddy gets it every time!
