02 factory Bose, somebody has to know the answer

I have an 02 EXT, someone chanced the factory Bose & I'm changing it back to stock. I also bought a popout dvd player / monitor that I want to put in the cd changer spot. My question is if I move the cd changer to the back under the seat, can I still change discs without having to push the buttons on the cd changer? Can the change function be controled through the radio or steering wheel?

Re: 02 factory Bose, somebody has to know the answer

yes.. my parents have stock 02's, not ext's just regular Escalades... on the stock radio you can click one of the next buttons and it changes the CD and/or on the steering wheel you use the buttong that changes the stations i think that it will change the discs while in cd mode.. honestly it would probably be cheaper to just keep the aftermarket deck and just add an aftermarket cd changer.. with this you can get a cd changer that holds more cd's.. also using an aftermarket deck you get better sound quality and whatnot... by using the aftermarket deck you get more options... plus you can always get an adapater to make the steering wheel controls to control the aftermarket deck.

Once again you guys are da $hit!!! Thank you! CaddyKidd, the aftermarket that someone put in there is toast, most of the display is burned out & you have no control over the bass & treble. Plus I like when it looks stock & then has a little somethin extra under the rear seat! Did you ever get rid of the box you had under your seat or did you decide to use it?

Re: 02 factory Bose, somebody has to know the answer

I think im gonna get rid of it.. i was finishing all the other installs and i think i might go back to the box in the midgate.. i have been driving around with the no bass at all.. just the stock setup and i miss the hard hitting bass.. so i think im just gonna throw the midgate box I have back in.. what can i say.. i miss the mirrors rattling as i drive by..
