Does an 03 factory Bose control changing of discs for CD player

I'm moving the factory CD player to install a pop out dvd player. What I need to know is do I have to be able to reach the cd player inorder to change discs or can it be done from the factory Bose? So If the cd player was out of reach behind the rear seat will I still have full function and be able to go from disc to disc? My truck came with an aftermarket radio & I'm bring it back to stock, basically.. So I have never operater the factory Bose or the cd changer... I see that he changer has 6 buttons on it & I'm thinking I need to be able to reach them inorder to change discs.

I screwed up... I have an 02 Escalede not an 03. I accidentally wrote 03 in the topic... It's an 02 no frills factory Bose.

On the 2003 and Up you don't need to access the changer unless you want to load or unload discs. I am not sure about the 2002.
