e85 ethanol

can an 04 cadillac escalade run on any alternate fuels? i know there are alot of cars that can run on 85% ethanol fuel even though you may not know it. i doubt the escalade can but its worth a shot? can the new generation escalades run on e85?

Nope, the Escalade can't run on e85. It can run on e15 though.

well i think all u can find here is 10% ethanol so even e15 is out of the quesion, just curious

That would work as well, although the emissions will be cleaner, gas mileage will suffer. The 6.0 engine can work with up to 15% ethanol. Anything more than that is too much.

well all gasoline contains 10% ethanol. next time your at the pump look, all gasoline sold in the USA must contain 10% ethanol

most cars can adjust up to 15% from non-oxygenated fuels (hence the fuel working even on older carbed cars).

E85 on the other hand is way to much Ethanol and if the car was not designed for it, will run lean and you WILL destroy your motor in short order.
