    Beware all

Berware everybody. my 2002 ext just passed 40,000 miles and just yesterday I was on the highway and my transmission blew. Cadillac doesnt know why yet but beware on your escalades at around 40k. ALso if anyone knows where I could get a good deal on an extended warranty that would be helpful. Thank you and God Bless

    Re: Beware all

Thanks but my 2002 Escalade has 54,000 and no major mechanical problems. When i got the truck last May it had abour 43,000 miles on it and we got the GM Major Guard for $2100 (200 deductible) and that extended the coverage to 6 years and 100,000 miles.

Just wondering when did you get the GM Major guard protection? Can you purchase it right before the mfg warr. expires?

I bought it right after I got the car. Just went into my dealership and talked to the warranty guy, he told me what I should go for and I bought it. He had the mechanic give the car a quick one over and a road test and I had my warranty. You can purchase it right before the original one expires, I had about 6000 miles to go.
