I have now (and have had in the past) many high line cars.

I got a 2004 ESV about 3 weeks ago and I feel the following systems in the ESV are better than any other vehicle I've owned..

    -Best Headlights
-Best Navigation (although this is my first car with DVD nav.)
    -Best HVAC
    -Best heated seats

I did not realize the changes from 02-03, but here are my thoughts:

    1) I do like the extra storage hatch in the 02 console lid, however, I figured they got rid of it because it tends to rattle over time, as does the whole center console.

    2) I can't believe they got rid off the underhood light

    3) The exhaust from 02 is dual all the way to the back of the truck and only then "Y's" down to 1 pipe at the tip with the nice heat sheild at the tip. I have considered Corsa Eshaust, but they all look more restrictive (2-1 higher upstream)

Just wish I could find a way to enhance the Bose Audio system, maybe add a seperate 10" sub.

Oh, forgot to comment on the passenger air filter: Love it.

I purchased used with about 60K miles, this filter had never been changed. found a procedure somewhere else, maybe GM-Trucks forum. The filter I pulled out was "Nasty". I am sure it had never been changed. After new one was in, the Escalade smelled new again. First comment when new passengers get in is "Nice new car smell". or "Love the smell of leather".

So, are you sure it's not in the new ones? It is a bit tricky to get to, in the 02.

The Corsa system is much less restrictive than the 02's & the 03' exhaust due mostly to the Corsa muffler
