SilverStar fog lamp bulbs now available!

Sylvania now offers the 880ST model SilverStar bulbs for the 2002 and up Escalade foglamps. They've had them in development for a while and now they are available to the public. They're kind of expensive ($46 per pair) but I know there were several people on this site looking for 'em. The coloring looks similar to the HID headlamps we've got.

I put SilverStar low beams in my Deville this past weekend- not a dramatic difference but noticable. Maybe it's me but the whiter lights look cleaner styling wise.

I got a few funny looks from BMW owners - ha ha!

I have a 02 Escalade. I want to upgrade my headlights to HID. I want to get the best HID light out there but I don't want to damage my vehical. Please give me the brand and the part number so I can order it. Should I have to worry about the HID light melting my headlights because it has more watts to it?

If I am not mistaken, the Escalade calls for the 893 sized bulb @ 37 thru 37.5watts maxium. The 880st refered to will be too long to use and has a different connector. Be warned, that if you use higher wattage like a 50watt bulb in the OE fog setup, you will melt the OE fog and wireing (common Sense..larger is not better here guys) Do some research fella's before you order online.

By the way, the price that was quoted, 46 dollars is way too much. Especially when you can get them for 15 bucks a pair, plus applicable taxes. Those are Super whites as well, I have them in my Yukon SLT and 02' Slade and they are bright, match the PIA super whites and all.

here is a good start guys, good luck to you all.
