Fair market value quote?

I am considering selling my rig. Pricing it is tough. Would appreciate some honest, fair price quotes as suggesting selling price. Thanks!

Re: Fair market value quote?

According to KBB your truck in excellent condition

Trade $27,150.00
Private $30,950.00
Retail $35,415.00

That is with 20" plus size wheels and tires. Your mods to the truck will help with private sales, but usually do not add to your truck value on trade.

Re: Fair market value quote?

I have seen those KBB numbers. I totally agree that the mods don't do much when trading. For people like us though they are appreciated. So in a private sale setting, do you just go KBB Private or is it worth a little more than KBB to those who know about the extra mods true value?

Re: Fair market value quote?

You always try to get the most, so start on the high side, you can always go down in price.

You usually won't get more than the KBB numbers. KBB is already marked a little higher than most other sites. I have found this out while trying to sell a friend's ESV. KBB said $42,000 and the dealer offered $34,000. I am asking $37,000.

Thanks.

Re: Fair market value quote?

those prices are a little high... even with the mods a big thing is that the new body styles are out.. honestly you are probably looking at a price of 20-25k for you truck with all the mods... that is a more reasonable price.. i think for my parents 02's with 65k and no mods the dealer trade in price was like 15k or someting ridiulously low.. you should be able to get 25k private party without a problem..

You put like no mileage on your 2003. That's awesome. Is most of your driving local?

Thanks.

Re: Fair market value quote?

you might want to check sites like autotrader.com and cars.com for retail/private party pricing.
A dealer recently offered me $32000.00 for my fully loaded 05 EXT w/14000 miles on it!
I have noticed that $39,900 is roughly a good private party price for it.
so i'm probably going to send it to my buddies car lot and sell it.
I feel that it may make an easier/quicker sale since he has financing.

Re: Fair market value quote?

I should also say that one local Caddy dealer offered me $26k, the others were 31,500 to 34k.

We have 6 cars/SUV's and two drivers, the Escalade gets driven in the bad weather, and to construction sites when we are developing land locally, but many times sits a week or two without even being started. I do take it to many car shows to deliver detailing supplies when needed.

Did it have any modifications? I'm just wondering. Sounds like it was an awesome looking Escalade.

Thanks.

I took off and sold 20" Platinum wheels, Platinum grill, HID fogs, Volant and reprogrammed computer, and so on. My dealer told me the first person that looked at my old Escalade purchased it.

I have the stock 22's and planning on Asanti 116's in black and chrome, still in 22", I have 305/45/22 tires to go on the stock rims, I have to stay with 22's because I am off road in construction sites when we are developing land locally, and have to drive on some poor roads to get to our home in upstate NY, don't want to worry about damaging the wheels several hundred miles from home. I have the 07' aftermarket grill from GM, chrome tow hooks, chrome gas cap (all giving to me by GM for my 07' ordering disaster, thank you) I have stock 07' 18" chrome wheels from my snow tires, Volant, B&B exhaust, HID fogs. I plan to put all the things on once the weather gets a little cooler
