Agreed. I like the new chrome badges a lot better. Congratulations and it looks great. Are you going to get those windows tinted?

    Thanks.

Once again, beautiful Escalade. Just noticed the license plate. What does it mean? "Awf Axis"?

    Thanks.

AWF AXIS: is really "OFF-AXIS". It's a description of a spin done on a wake-board (occasionally on a snow-board), where your rotation is not oriented along a vertical line (like a figure skating spin). Off Axis spins look like a combination of a cartwheel and spin, or at least some horizontal movement with the spin.

It's something that professionals can do, which looks crazy, but they land upright. To an old dude like me, it means somethings wrong, and a painful crash is coming... Bring on the Advil!

    Cool, thats creative.

Last time I took a boat and jet ski's into Lake Tahoe, I came back with a frozen ass. Even in the summer, that snow really keeps that water cooled down.

Have you heard what is at the bottom?

Good choice on the rims. It flows well with the truck.

Tahoe is only tolerable in late July through August. We go on it maybe twice a year. We do most our lake trips to smaller lakes in the area, like Bullard's bar, Scott's flat, etc. These are about 3000 ft lower in elevation, and warm by the end of May. We go to some of the Sac-Valley lakes too.

As for the bottom of the lake, there are a few well preserved bodies...

This is why I choose the Escalade (403hp/6spd drivetrain). The 4spd Denali ('01 and '05) that I had, just screamed pulling the boat home at the end of the day. Just to maintain 60mph uphill, it would be in 2nd gear, running 5k on the tach.

Going downhill, I either had to put it in 2nd gear to slow it down, or smoke the brakes. I'd warp the rotors every 10-15k anyway. Boat trailer has 4 wheel discs, but the tow vehicle still has to apply several hundred pounds of pressure on the tongue to activate them.

    How 'bout an underhood shot?

Painted the grill, radiator shroud, engine covers, airbox and intake tube (TrueFlow) in wh. diamond to match truck. First try at flames, will be redoing. Painted underhood insulator, it turned out not quite white, but light gray and lightens the whole engine bay quite a bit. Have been testing some Ultrasuede for heat under there; it appears to work fine, so will cover the insulator with it soon.

The TrueFlow rubber boots are red from the factory, re-painted those with rubber paint and added small touches on the dipstick and oil fill.

Well, here is a picture of the bed... http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...g-ext-bed.html

Except for the painted grill (and I would like to clear my headlights), the outside is totally stock. I may experiment with some pinstriping tape before striping it. And I'd like to either paint the tonneau's, or better, go to a custom single piece like this one.

I'd love to have some nice wheels, but not enough to have it become more of a target. Also, it's used for (Rocky Mountain) regional road trips and I wouldn't want the rougher ride; our Colorado roads are already crappy enough.

Dude, that looks awesome! Good job! I like the flames.

If I take off my cover and send it to you, can you do the same? Add the flames and paint it pearl white? I'll pay you?
