and then I pulled the 22's off, sold them for $900 on local craigslist and put some 18" take-offs from a 2010 Escalade. I got tired of the crappier gas mileage and the worse ride. Now I am back to smooth like glass and it still looks good.
J W is it possible for you to post up a video with those wheels rolling? Those look way cool, the thing is though it would drive me crazy not having them pointing in the same direction when sitting still. Please don't take that the wrong way.
gm.. I appreciate your attention to detail. I'd say we are cut from the same cloth, as far as keeping our vehicles clean lol
Nice work, the whole picture
Thank you very much! Yes I'm very detail oriented when it comes to my baby, I really appreciate it when people notice.
My one story I can give you when this has gotten me in trouble though, is the time that I was on I believe the second date with a girl from school. After opening the door for her to get into my truck, I noticed a smudge on my right front rim. Instinctively, I went to the back, got a cloth and some wipe&shine and quickly removed the smudge. I put the rag and spray back and jumped into the drivers seat. The look this girl gave me, you would of thought she was 5 and I told her there was no Santa. I shrugged and said.."Shes the only girl that hasn't let me down...yet. I take good care of her and she takes good care of me" Puzzled, she turned back toward the front and said, "So your saying you clean up all your girls?" I shot a look back with a smirk and said "Well....are you dirty?":eyebrow: Her eyes lit up and she had the biggest sh!t-eating-grin on her face. :smilewide: Needless to say, the date turned out to be awesome, all for paying a little attention to detail.
Thanks again for the compliment, I would have to agree with you and I being cut from the same cloth, every picture of your 'Lade has always been superb. My hat is off to you.
Great job, is that a custom sub box. I went for the JL stealth box on mine and im considering another one for the Avy. I like that grille on black. Doesnt seem to do much for the other colors.
Thank you for the complements. I had the box custom made. I was looking at the stealthboxes as well however I needed to be sure that my rifle cases would still fit in the bed (I am a competitive rifle shooter). So I went to the local custom shop and he took the dimensions with the case, and had it made by some guy in conneticut for $500. It only takes up about 10-11 inches of the bed. The grille I had to get from the dealer. We made a fake VIN and told GM we need the grille for this car. Came out much better than I thought it would. I'm surprised that they all didn't come with chrome grilles.
If i get another black escalade suv i will definitely look into a grille like that. Im might even get rid of the white ext and get a black one or have it painted. My avalanche just has a regular sub box with 2 10" subs in it. I can tell the difference between the two. I like to get theater sound in my vehicles as close as possible. The box takes up about 9" of space. I probably will have another one before summer ends. I paid $550 for mine but it cost $230 to have it shipped, thing weighs 100lbs. Seeing your truck has got me looking at black ones now.
That looks really good! I was looking directly on the JL site and it had said $1200 and didn't give dimensions, which is what scared me away from them. How is the air space in the box? I agree with you on wanting the best sound quality. That's why it drives me crazy when I am driving my dads '07 EXT, haha. I think the VIN code for the chrome grille is TB3. Once we found that we were good to go.
Hi im new on here but here are sum picks on my escalade on 23" giovanni alloys it gets sum good looks over here in the uk you dont see that many of them sorry about the picks i will get a better camera tomorrow
The rubbing alcohol routine is when you take your headlights completely out and mix up rubbing alcohol and water and pour some into the holes where the bulbs go into not to much because it has to dry and swish it all around and let it clean the fogging then take something like a hair dryer heat gun or maybe even the sun will work to dry it then just put your headlights back in and you should be good to go.

heres my 03 ESV with 84k miles. I dont really know what I am going to do to the outside yet, but I definately need some subs and maybe an aftermarket head unit. Tires are in the near future.
