i'd like to know if there is any significant revisions that were made to the navigation head units from the first ones to now. i'm trying to get one on ebay but from what i understand its the second revision part #. will i notice any difference between this unit and the last revision or even the first one?
thanks- chris

You won't notice any difference between the revisions. I assume it's a TNR?

Re: is there a significant difference in the revisions for navigation units

DrDeisel thanks for all your insight on these nav units. i was refering to the touch screen units you told me about. will the newer ones run faster? do you know what the updates were? when i do get one (i'm trying to secure one on ebay as we speak) i've noticed that you can't change destinations while you're moving whats the best way to get around this if there is one? if its already been addressed on here i appologize i've looked through so many pages on these forums i don't know right from left anymore : ). also about what price do you think is a good deal on a touchscreen unit with the gps and a nav disk? i'd pm you but apparently i still need about 40 more posts before i can do that. thanks again for all your help- chris

I paid 790.00 for my nav with 4.1 disc. Got the antenna from the guys who installed it for 100.00can and if you want to work the nav while moving tellk your installer to splice into your vss wire. They will put a switch and while your driving turn it on and then turn it off when you input your destination.

Enjoylife is right about the vss, (vehicle speed sensor) wire. That's pretty easy to do. You won't notice any difference in speed from one revision to another. It's hard to tell on price, it seems that the price is starting to come down on these things lately. I guess more people are trading there older vehicles in for the new 07's.
