Does anyone know if there is some way to override the system so you can watch dvds while driving???? a mechanic at my dealer told me that he has a customer who said it can be done by pressing three buttons on the screen at the same time?????????? sounds too good to be true?????? anyone know???

also, is there a way to watch the rear camera while driving??????

thank you

Re: playing dvds on nav screen while driving

It depends on how it is set up, if the screen only allows you to watch dvds at for ex under 5mph, then its hooked up to the speed sensor and you have to go through that wiring. If it only plays when it is in park, then it is probably just a contact when you put it in park that grounds a wire which enables all the functions of the screen. The wire should be visible if you remove the shifter. Some new screens have it built in to them, its not any physical wire. With those, it could be a few buttons or software or even hardware in the actual unit. If you figure it out though, let us know. Good Luck.
