I am currently a proud owner of a 03 Escalade ESV. I am in the market for another one. I have found a 04 ESV with 75,000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone has had any bad experience with the ESV with that kind of milage. I am not sure because on mine which i have currently (03) I only 20,000 miles. I dont drive it that much...
SO if anyone has any suggestions, or comments please let me know!
THanks,

I would not trade in a car with 20,000 miles on it for a car with 75,000 miles on it. There is such a good chance that the car with 75,000 miles will run into problems much sooner then the car with 20,000. I would keep your current 2003 ESV. Why are you looking to upgrade?
Thanks. |

My tahoe was 65k and my current 04 Escalade surprisingly was early at 29k. The biggest weakness on the gm suvs I have owned have been waterpump, alternator and power rack leaks. Everyonce in a while the steering shaft / or intermediate shaft needs to be greased or you will hear and audible clunk when going over bumps. Rotors seem to warp later in life and watch out for the front differential leaks. |

Take it for a test drive too if possible. Good luck.
Thanks. |

Rule of thumb with 4 wheel drive (or all wheel drive) is above 50k miles the price really starts dropping, it would depend on the price, it would have to be low.

Hopefully this one wont be a lemon. But i am thinking ahead, and i am going to purchase an extended warranty, just to be on the safe side.
