Hey guys one of my fog lights is brighter than the other. They are yellowish being the factory and I did replace the factory headlights to HID's. Is there a way i can just replace the bulb for a whiter tone than the regular factory bulbs? I just really dont want to spend another 300 on some HID's for fog lights.
Thanx!!

Sure you can, the 02' -06's use an 880 bulb, Sylvania SilverStar bulbs are whiter than stock, you can get them at most Pep Boys stores or other car stores

The best you are going to get is the Silverstar Sylvania's. They are definitly brighter than the stock fog lights but they are nothing like the HID kits. I have them on my 2005 Escalade. They were only like $42.00 and an easy install. I still don't think they are that great of a match, but it is the best bulb under HID.
Thanks. |

Get the SilverStars, they are nice, bright, and white. I just replaced both of my fog light assemblies (don't ask) and I forgot how yellow the factory bulbs are. Last year I added the SilverStars all around and I love the improvement. There is someone on ebay selling the fog lights for $31 shipped, which is the best price I've found.

Originally Posted by rawdog805 the benefit for me would be a whiter light... instead of the yellow dull looking light with the stock DRL's | I think that Silverstar does make a bulb for the DRL's which is very similar to the bulb they make for the fog light. It is a nicer and whiter color. Check with your local Autozone or Pep Boys because they can look it up on the computer and let you know.
