    O2 Sensor Help needed!

I have O2 sensor codes popping and so I need to replace some O2 sensors however I go to the AC Delco website and there is 4 different part numbers. There is only 2 pairs of sensors last i heard so which is which and why a 4th part number? This is for a 2003 Escalade base model 6.0 liter. It appears I need the upstream... what does "POSN 1", "POSN2", and PSON3 designate? I thought it was POSN was maybe position but that doesnt make sense since POSN indicates Upstream and Downstream sensors. If you review all the descriptions carefully, hopefully you will understand my dilemma.

    Re: O2 Sensor Help needed!

I'm not sure that was entirely helpful. Are there actually 6 O2 sensors? What does POSN mean? Does it mean position? If so what is the relevance? Are the last two part #s just functional equivalents of the first two or vice versa? Can anyone explain further?

You have a total of four o2 sensors
    Two on each side
    One towards the manifold (upstream)
    One after the convertor(downstream)

The other sensors are basically the same thing just different price or the wiring harness is different(universal)

The upstreams are oxygen sensors and the down streams are air fuel ratio sensors, I'm showing both upstreams to be 213-1161 and down streams to be 213-1149 and 213-4670 please double check these i am at the mercy of a parts catalog and no vin#

The upstream ones are a bit more pricey then the downstream ones
    I checked on gmpartsdirect

They show four separate numbers for the sensors(odd but true)

    Re: O2 Sensor Help needed!

Amazon has a 15% sale on Bosch sensors, that's one of my favorite places for parts. They have a pretty accurate part finder built in too, just put in your 03 info and it will pop up the sensors that fit.
Also, if you don't have an alldatadiy.com subscription, it's one of the best investments I've ever made. They have a summer special going on now for $9.95/one year of access per vehicle. Promo Code is DIY2014 They would definitely have detailed info on exactly what sensors are on the truck.

Just a thought from that list in your first post, I bet that is showing for both the 5.3L and the 6.0L engines maybe? You should need just one set of POSN1 and one set of POSN2
