    2005 Escalade ESV FRONT AIR cool BACK AIR cold

    Caddy Experts -

    Need some guidance here. I have a 2005 Caddy ESV Platinum with front/rear HVAC. Last summer my son killed the battery listening to music and since then the air has been cool at best up front and still the same freezing in the rear. I did research forever and found the front door actuator on the passenger side could cause this once the battery dies it gets stuck and doesn't open all the way when needed. I did replace this and no avail. I have been looking and see many items that can cause this but some are just cold passenger air but hot driver air. Mine isn't that case as both fronts are cool but not COLD. I do hear the clutch kicking on/off constantly even when the air is not on. Could the blower motor be bad? Resistor or switch? Please help as I don't want to go to a dealer and pay a boatload!

    Sounds like a compressor issue or sensor issue

    One way to test is with the engine and blowers off while working the controls to hear the actuators

    I hear them moving. At least the one under the passenger side. You think sensor?

    That one is for the drivers side temp(mine has been acting flaky at times)
    It is possible its a sensor though the control unit can cause this also(it's what you use to adjust the hvac)
