    Question Baer vs. Brembo

What are the major differences (if any) between the Baer Eradispeed + 1 brake upgrade and the Brembo brake kit? Baer's kit (front & rear) goes for $1,300 in the Perf. Prod catalog while Brembo's goes for a whopping $4,000 just for the front. That's a huge frickin jump man! :rolleyes2.

Off the top of my head, I'd say that the Eradispeed +1 upgrade only includes rotors (plus adapters) while the Brembo setup is more of a kit with rotors *and* multi-piston calipers.

the eradispeed uses a larger rotor but the same calipers, it come with a adapter bracket! the brembo is a complete system(larger rotors and calipers)

Exactly, Bear is only a rotor upgrade.

So if I go with the Baer rotor upgrade, will I still get the stopping power that I am seeking or would it be mainly for looks ? Since this is more like a weekend vehicle, I really cant see myself spending over $4000 for just brakes . The larger rotors would surely compliment my 24's!

I have Eradispeed +1's on my Vette and there was a big difference is stopping distance when I installed them, the Vette stock stops as good as any car built, with the Eradispeed's it was even better. Just make sure you get stainless steel brake lines with your upgrade, they do make a difference.

Like with anything you get what you pay for, so you can't really compare the two systems. Do you want $1,300 worth of stopping power or $4,000. In my opinion, unless money is no object, I would not bother with the $4,000 system unless you had a supercharger or something where you need to balance the extra motor power with better stopping ability.
