So according to you, every question can only be asked once? Ok then Captain America. The point still remains that you reply with useless information, and vague solutions. Doesn't matter if I've met you or not, I'm basing my opinion on what you write here....which is useless info. If the admins had an issue with anything I'm sure they would contact me, threats from you aren't making me lose sleep you scary man. I haven't been abusive, I've merely pointed out something I've noticed which many people agree on, one of them being a moderator. The fact is people are asking for help and are having to scroll last your nonsense to get to a helpful reply. There's plenty threads and as someone else has said, click your previous posts and you'll see for yourself. Ironic your speaking of wasting bandwidth when your happy to reply with complete nonsense a lot of the time. Why not just...not reply. Seems pointless especially when you have poorly family. Apparently. Have a nice day. ---------- P.s Get the admins on my case? Don't try me? Listen to yourself.
You didn't mention in your thread so how am I to know if you did or not use the search feature so that's a bad call on your part not mine

Heck there was another stepper motor issue from another member but they didn't give me any trash talk when I mentioned that it was that (unlike you)

My point is if you do use the search before posting at least let it be known so people who don't know you used it would know(other members do if they use the feature)

It makes me wonder if you treat people who try and help you in person like this(if you do that's bad on you)

So if you think I made a mistake then I will correct it but bashing me on a forum makes you look bad not me as there is many people who have emailed me directly for help and info which they did get the help they asked for

    Mr. John P,

I have deleted one of your posts in this thread because you not only used profanity, which is against our rules, but you also began calling names. Disagree with each other as you may gentleman, that's the beauty of the forum, start calling names and I'll start sending people to the corner for a time out!!!

X2 This is the first time I have seen a post like this. Has anyone from the Moderator team reached out to Cadillac Man and helped him about some of his post habits.

It was because the member that started the thread he linked to was bashing me in the thread and because my pm inbox was full the admin couldn't get ahold of me in private to tell me about it

I really didn't expect the member he referenced to that started the thread would get on this thread and start more crap

    Re: News for the_cadillac_man

I really don't understand the personal attack here? People are seriously sending Admin complaints about "vague advice" and posting too much? Are you a bunch of five year olds? Give me a break.

The Cadillac Man has also helped me out with several issues I have had with my truck and saved me a lot of cash in the process. He has sent me many off forum emails and taken his personal time to dialogue back and forth to trouble shoot problems as well as providing technical diagrams, etc. I appreciated all the time he took out of his day to help me just for the asking.

Here's a novel idea. If there are users on a forum you don't value as an informational source, ignore their suggestions. Nobody is forcing anyone to take someone's advice. Targeting someone and creating a specific rant thread is juvenile to say the least.

Don't understand it either, but I really think there is something else behind this that we don't know about.

Thanks man it was because I made a mistake in someone thread and they took it the wrong way
If you will read the "bash thread" that submariner has linked to in his second post you will see the john p didn't take it easy on me for the fact I made a mistake

    Re: News for the_cadillac_man

Maybe moderators who hang out in STS forums should stay in STS forums. It's obvious Submariner409 does not understand the support "the cadillac man" provides here in the escalade forum. As others have already stated, he has easily saved me hundreds in repair costs and has alway been around to answer a question in a supportive manner.

On the other hand, Submariner409 choose to endorse a member who uses profane language and sometimes a passive aggressive tone. One "John P" post directly attacked my comments questioning "If I was High" and that I was "full of sh*t". That was neither appropriate nor constructive in the context of the discussion, just like his thread in the members section. "John P" deserved to be banned for this repeat behavior (profanity and personal attacks) but instead forum management has chosen to support him.

    Very disappointing thread.

    Re: News for the_cadillac_man

Everyone, The thread in question in The Lounge has been deleted. My apologies to the cadillac man for any perceived insult - we acted on several reports from forum members right here - in this thread and two others.

Thread locked. Let it die a quiet death.

z0lt3c, Your second paragraph in Post 23 is incorrect - I never "endorsed" anyone in that thread, and your two post reports of earlier this afternoon were acted upon and handled by different Moderators.
