In chicago it was really cold. Blew blower motor resistor. Figured was below -20 and blew, saw service bulletin. Replaced and everything good. 1 month later it blew again. Noticed corrosion on new plug. Not wet though. Left cover down and nothing for 4 days. Then car wash and water coming through blower motor. So it soaked into foam and shorting resistor.

Why or where is water coming from. Anyone know how duct is run, dont see anything wrong. Possibly a plug thats clogged.

I believe a heater core is bad or needs flushing ASAP. Dont hesitate. Fix

Sounds like your A/C condensate drain is plugged. Not sure exactly where it is on your truck though.

A failed heater core will cause coolant to leak onto the floor, not water. And a heater core in need of a flush is clogged, not leaking.

I had the same problem. Under the hood up by the windshield directly above the blower motor is a black cover about 4" by 10" Remove the cover, You can look down and see the blower motor. the seal on that cover is probably shot. I just resealed with a bead of black silicone and replaced the cover. problem solved.
