Hello everyone, I purchased a 2005 Cadillac Escalade with 157,000 miles about three weeks ago. I never owned a SUV and I'm really enjoying it, especially after the four inches of snow this weekend and more to come this winter in Chicago. I paid $7700 from a private owner, that seemed very honest about the truck. Truck is in great shape, with only one scratch on it...had a couple minor things that needed fixing, but after searching the forums here very easy and cheap fixes.

Looking forward to being on here and having you answer any questions I might have. Thanks in advance

Thanks! I moved my search for an Escalade further away from Chicago cause they all seemed overpriced. Found this 3 hours away in Michigan. Guy was asking $8000...I told him since I drove so far I'll give you $7700.

Yeah I was surprised to see an 05' for that price. After I got home my mechanic looked it over and couldn't find anything wrong with it.

    Thanks for the welcomes

Nice looking unit! I noticed it has navigation. Did it come with the disc? I have the latest version, 10.4, for sale in the classifieds for $75.
    Enjoy your ride!

nice find man. I too am new to these vehicles. Got a 2005 with 65,000 miles for $14,000 about 2 weeks back. Love the power and the ride so far. A few things here and there to touch up, but overall a very fun rig. And the wife likes it too!

btw, I am/was a DIE-HARD Ford guy. Still feels kind of odd to be driving a Cadillac

How's it going, I am a new member as well. I live in Ford country only a few miles from their world headquarters, but I have to tell you, I have not drive a vehicle like an escalade, if an escalade can't get you to change from being a Ford guy, nothing will!
