    Suspension problems? Read this...

Had the usual compressor issues with mine and thee exhaust solenoid was completely ruined with water ingress. Decided to bite the bullet and buy the Dorman compressor.

So glad I did. Plug and play! Came with cage and dryer. Literally unplug your old one and the new one goes right in.
Th best part is it seems to work faster so it's on a lot less on start up and the noise is barely there. It's a quiet hum, nothing like the arnott ones that sound like a Diesel engine!

Thumbs up from me and hopefully this helps people make the decision!

No service ride control problems anymore 😄

Glad to see you got your truck fixed

I have been working on a fix to prevent the water ingestion and should be able to make a product soon

Cadillac Man, I just sprayed silicone spray all around it to repel water. Works well!

JNRSESV - It's made by dorman and it's this part....

Hmm the link is broken above.

I went to Rock Auto and checked out the compressor $240.00 plus shipping a bit steeper than Arnotts $185.27. But hey at least there is an option.

where else are you getting water from, the condensation is coming from the air that the compressor produces

The Dorman compressor part number is 949000. Works AWESOME, I have one on my truck and it us quite also. TRUST me, pay a little extra and get the Dornan, it is EXACTLY like the OEM one and is plug and play.

Next compressor I probably will try the Doorman.

My first Arnott failed 2 weeks after warranty ended, I called them and they still honored the warranty but the replacement that was sent is loud as all get out, like mentioned sounds like a diesel motor. I called Arnott about the noise even put the phone next to the compressor for them to hear, all I got was a "wow that is noisy". Arnott would not replace this one.

The Arnott one is cheaper and is for a reason as proven here and other similar forums. For not much more money the Dorman is plug and play, quiter and DOES NOT require new shocks for the warranty to be honoured the way Arnott does on their own conoressors.

So for not that much more of your hard earned you get a simple install, quiet compressor and hassle free warranty. No brainer.
