    Ball joint replacement

Hello guys. I have a problem putting the lower ball joint in a 1999 escalade 4x4. I have the large c-clamp ball joint tool ..I've heated the knuckle up and placed the ball joint in the freezer. Still doesn't go in straight.. Please please any responses are greatly appreciated

I've done a few of these. What I ended up doing was cleaning out the inside of the knuckle with a wire brush or steel wool. I coat the new ball joint with dish soap to make it slippery and crank the ball joint in slowly. The soap trick always made getting it back in much easier in my experience.

I would probably go more abrasive and use plumber's emory cloth. Get all the rust and corrosion out.
