McGaughy's drop kit rear suspenstion installtion problem

After getting some help from here I successfully installed front kit of McGaughy's. Now working on back. Everything went well until I was trying to install shock extender to shock mount. For some reason it seems the shock extender was too narrow and won't fit the shock mount. Anyone has ever had the same issue and how did you resolve this problem? My truck is 05 Escalade base.

    Thank you in advance

Answering my own question: got a grinder from HF and grind two sides of the shock mount. When shock extender can BITE the shock mount, use a hammer to punch it in.

Another question: What is #1 in picture used for? I think #2 should sit at bottom of original shock mount, correct?

Figured it out myself again. #1 is the spacer between stock shock mount and McGaughy's shock mount.
