    Almost blowing engine

    This is going to sound bad but here goes nothing. When I floor the gas pedal I am hitting about 5800-5900 Rpms... I let off the gas to shift. If I didn't it would probably redline is this common? I have the 05 ext

    If u stay in it it should shift, if it goes against the rev limiter you my friend have a problem

    I have done that before and as long as the rev limiter doesn't kick in(which it will) then don't worry
    I have done it more then once so I wouldn't worry

    If it in park and you do then the rev limiter will kick in but if it is in gear then the speed limiter would kick in at a certain speed
    I have yet to hit either

    I have hit 5900rpm in mine as well. nothing to worry about unless it does not shift after that. JMO.

    These stock lq9 engines are safe on stock internals to 6200rpm. U won't hit that anyway unless ur tuned and raise the limit
