    Question 880 HID bulb length

I bought a set of 5k 880 bulbs for my fog lights. I had to push the bulb in and it pressed against the shield thing that covers the bulb. I'm sure that HID bulb will get hot. Should I be concerned? I noticed the stock 880 halogen bulb is fairly short. When I get back from the gym, I'll take pics of the bulbs next to each other.

I have 880 hid bulbs in my fog lights with no problem

It shouldn't hurt the housings(I have had mine in service for almost over a year) no melted plastic
