Hey all I have an '04 Escalade and have started having issues with the power seat. When I put the key in the ignition to start the vehicle the seat either does nothing or shakes for a few seconds. Also, when I shut the vehicle off and pull the keys, instead of going into the "exit" position it instead starts lowering the back of the seat bottom all the way down. Any suggestions for me to fix this or do I need to take it in?? Thanks!
The "exit" position is programmable in the same manner as memory positions 1 & 2. If you have the menu options set to automatically go to exit position when you turn the vehicle off, that would explain the moving down. The shaking at start up is puzzling ...
There is a Service Bulletin for this. The module that controls the power seats has to be re-programmed at the dealer. Cadillac customer service is trying to get a local dealer to help me with this without success.
