Crome srtip on running board replacement???

Does anyone know where you can buy just the crome strip on the side of the "step"/ "running boards"? I have an 05 EXT and the dealers says I need to buy the whole step for $800. Don't want to pay that much for just the crome strip. Thank you

Your best bet would be a junk yard or Craigslist.

That or use black trim tape to cover it up
The chrome is good on mine but I tape it to give it a cleaner black look so it make the chrome rims stand out more
