    Diagnostic plug/ connector

    What can cause a loss of power in 05 EXT? Can't run a diagnostic due to no power and can't find a blown fuse or I'm not checking the right one.

    Check the cigar fuse as it powers both the obd port and power outlets

    Yes, that's true of just about any GM car I can think of. The lighter fuse is in the underhood fuse box, not the interior. Just pop off the underhood cover and the back side of it has labels.

    And before you replace the fuse, check to make sure a penny hasn't fallen into the lighter socket by the cupholder.

    That is a common mistake where people use the ashtray area for change
