I have the GMOS-100 in my 03 esv.
make sure that you do the update before you install it... my friend owns a local stereo shop and was confused as to why the fronts weere "half volume" when the stereo was below vol. 15, but as soon as it hit vol. 16 the sound was balanced.
the tech said that the software on the gmos100 was designed for 2 volt preouts, and my new kenwood nav. screen was 5 volt.
you might need a special usb cable.. not sure

Ah ok thanks... I'll be using an Alpine 7987 head unit with an Alpine G320 Signal Processor and the head unit has 4V pres.

Does that model retain the steering wheel controls?

I just installed the clarion nx501 in my esv. THe installers used the new axes/gmos modules that just came out. They worked great. He also used the gmos steering wheel controls. He says these new ones work great.

I'll look those up (axes/gmos?). I just got my alpine 7998 so I'll definitely be going aftermarket... I install everything myself so I have to find these new modules. I'll probably end up with an 03 or an 04.

250.00!!!!!!!!!!! For the integration? Is there a cheaper alternative to retain the Bose and Wheel controls? Wow, almost the cost of a new head unit.

How is it 250.00 just for the module? last I checked on the crutchfeild website it was only 99.00 dollars for the module.

It's in the second link c man in your post up top. There seem to be a lot if adapters. I just want the one that allows the factory Bose and then the wheel controls. I don't have a back up camera etc.

The first one will allow you to retain the Bose amp and you can get an adaptor for the steering wheel controls on there also separately.
P.s after looking at the second link I see what you mean about the price that is almost as much as some radios.

If you just want to add a aftermarket radio the first link is the one you need,
I posted two links a few posts up in the thread.

Re: Aftermarket Head Unit Adapter For Use With Factory System

I tried to install Kenwood head unit DNX6990HD with adapter GMOS-100 on 2004 Escalade.
Everything seems working fine except the factory CD changer not functioning.
Please advise which adaptor should I use to connect CD changer, since there are few adapters come
with GMOS-100 I did not use. Because those are for 2007-2011 Escalade.
Also, which wire should I connect in order to play DVD while the vehicle in motion instead of parking.
My intend is for passenger be able to view DVD.
Any help and response will be greatly appreciated..
